Creative direction at Kybo

Recent updates from Roblox has prompted us to step back and review our options on the basis of planning, creating, testing and selling our products and services. As of May 23rd, only users aged 16 and above can access our purchasing hub, which is severely impacts our direct revenue and community growth. We've decided to reconsider the direction of what we create at Kybo, and we're here to provide more information regarding current & future products and services.

Tech

Similar to Assets, besides the tech products we've shared with you, we currently do not have any plans to produce any new tech products beyond Themis. More information about these projects can be found below. All the tech products we currently sell will remain on-sale. We truly do hope this changes.

Assets

We believe asset development at Kybo has come to an end, as we currently have no plans to conceptualise any new content. All of our assets that are available for purchase will remain on-sale. Support will continue to be supported for all assets.

Hyre

Since Roblox now requires a significant amount of users to be actively engaged within an experience for it to be accessible to everyone, most Hyre experiences will become restricted to the 16+ age enforcement.

In good time, we'll explore incorporating Hyre into your main experiences, allow for all users to access Hyre services. If you own a large community and actively use Hyre, please reach out to us for a direct ranking API if need be.

Artis

For the foreseeable future, Artis development will be placed on a hiatus.

The new Roblox update will not allow Artis games to function as intended and will be restricted to 16+ users only. Experience-made products are currently not a viable product to produce, sell and market.

Themis

We're still on the fence about Themis—we have a lot of pre-orders, and the product is well developed. We do plan to release Themis, but we do not have timeframe for this. All users who have pre-ordered Themis should keep up with any announcements sent through our Discord server or through the Parcel Discord bot.

What's Next?

We've explored our options, our avenues and what we're capable of producing. Truthfully, Kybo is capable of producing anything, and we plan to do that. Through 2026 to 2027, we'll be obtaining the necessary licensing, tools, etc for software development.

"Software development" can include but not limited to:

  • Web-based platforms

  • iOS apps

  • MacOS apps

  • Discord bots (public & open-source)

  • Open-source projects

We'll also be supporting our hosting sister project, Baud.
